About

blogA native of Toronto, Canada, Andrew Woodbury is a teacher, writer, and entrepreneur.

He is the Communications and Professional Development Manager for English language startup Learn YOUR English. The company offers language, teacher, curriculum, and professional development training to ELT students and professionals.

Andrew also works as an ESL Foundation Program Instructor at Toronto’s George Brown College. Specializing in English for Academic Purposes (EAP), the program aims at increasing student proficiency in English, and preparing them for the rigours of undergraduate study in Canada.

His entire life started when he lived abroad in Costa Rica from 2010 through 2013. Seriously, he wasn’t alive before that. He started teaching, learned Spanish, met awesome people, and learned how to live. Or something like that.

He also learned how to write a little, and is a freelance writer. He was a columnist with the PanAm Post and his works have also appeared in outlets such as The Costa Rican Times, The Tico Times, and Antiwar.com. He was a regional ESL expert on popular radio program This Week in Costa Rica and has contributed to The Five Gallon Podcast, among others.

As a blog, Andrew inconsistently writes about mainly uninteresting topics.
